Letter of resignation:
Jennica Smith and Aaron Smith
June 19, 2026
**Subject: Formal Resignation of Membership and Request for Name Removal**
Dear Bishop Abrahamson and President Bott,
Aaron and I, Jennica, are writing to formally resign our membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and request that our name and all records be immediately and permanently removed.
I, Jennica, have been raped by the current prophet of the church (Dallin H. Oaks), a previous prophet (Thomas S. Monson), and several apostles. I can attest Gordon B Hinckley is a homosexual man from my own eye witness of his preference of little boys. But it is not these horrific and true stories which are causing our removal from the organization. Rather, it is the Lord Himself Who no longer desires us to be affiliated with what He views as a sinking ship.
We ache to make such a statement. Not because of the decision we are making, but rather for the sake of whomever will read this letter and the lack of true understanding they will hold. Because we know that this decision will be incomprehensible to most. Because many have not applied themselves to understanding God, His law, His will, and His ways. There is a way for all to know if we are truly speaking with the Lord. You must set aside any biases or beliefs that we are not listening to Him and apply Moroni’s promise to this situation. It is our testimony that anyone who truly desires to know His mind and heart on the matter, will know from Him – we are being guided by Him.
Please note that by removing our records from the Church, we are not canceling the covenants which we have made with God. Those covenants remain between us and the Lord and He has promised us that they hold fast and true. We are making this decision at His bidding. We are leaving a ship that has caught fire in search for heaven (Zion), and the path is well lit before us by the light of our God – and yours.
Once before a man and a women left a kingdom in search of becoming something more. In search of becoming as their God is. That is all that is happening here. Our God is calling us to Him, and we are hearkening to that call. The church will be cleansed. Many good people will stay and be a part of that cleansing. Good men will rise up and once again hold the keys. But that is not the fight the Lord is asking of us. I, Jennica, have carried the burdens caused by these wicked men for too long. My battle has been my life. My husband has had to fight at my side just to keep me alive. We have had to find Christ despite the scars caused by the actions of our wicked leaders, which has been a victory in and of itself. We are now stepping away, as the battle begins, to start our rest in His Kingdom on earth. To begin the establishment of Zion with those whom hold the keys to do so. We are leaving what has sadly become a crumbling tower that’s grown up with weeds and brambles, to prepare a place for Him in Zion. We are doing so knowing no man living can strip us of what God Himself has given us. Tares in His leadership are believed to be holding His keys, honoring Him with their lips while their hearts are far from Him. We are worthy of His power, and are stepping aside to be led by those worthy of holding His keys.
We truly thank you for your service and all you have done for our family.
Please forward this request to Church headquarters for processing. This resignation is effective immediately. We request written confirmation once our names have been removed from all Church records.
Sincerely,
Jennica Margaret Noorlander Smith and Aaron Huiana O Na Alii Smith
Follow up letter to our leaders:
President and Bishop,
I believe this is the last you will hear from us, but I have felt impressed the past few days to leave you with a few thoughts. President, the Lord has said you have not taken up our challenge to go to him and ask, in the way that Moroni has laid out, if what we have experienced is from Him and if our decision is not at His bidding. He says you so firmly believe in what you believe in that you will not even humble yourself to question if we also know the Lord and are not being guided by Him. But here’s the thing, if you were to truly seek out an answer as we have asked, you would find that we are telling the truth and that He is our head still. And from there, He would begin to unravel all of the beliefs you hold which have been crafted by men. Which are not of Him. Beliefs that you believe are correct because men have told you they are, when in reality the scriptures scream something quite opposite. The only way to hear through the noise is to know His patterns and to learn His voice through His word. In this case His word would be each of His books of scripture.
The past several years the Lord has taught me through the tree of life vision. I have seen every piece of it, and seen the vision itself from every angle possible. Did you know, when Father looks at the world as a whole, it is an interactive map that lays on a table in a sacred space? On the map is the world in the shape of Pangea. On top of the world is the great and spacious, the tree, the meadow in between, and the river of water. The people are divided by righteousness. The most righteous are near the tree, the most wicked are in the great and spacious and the world Is in between them both. Every person is nearest where their hearts lie. If their hearts are with Christ, they are most close to the path. If their hearts are with anyone else they are closest to the great and spacious. You can focus on any one person and as you zoom in you will know their location in the world. For instance, when I was allowed to see this sacred space, I focused in on one lady with two small children. She was closer to the path than to the great and spacious. There were fires burning all around her representing the world and Satan’s false light. But as I zoomed in I could see she was in New York City walking the streets with her two small children, doing her best to avoid the fires she didn’t even know were there. It was fascinating. But seeing the world through Father’s eyes brought me new understanding and new perspective. The “churches” Nephi talks about our metaphorical. He is speaking of our hearts. How close they are to Christ. There are only two options. To be with Christ, or to be against him. Everyone who is with Him is in the correct church already. Everyone who is against Him is by nature Satan’s. Whether they recognize it or not. I am not suggesting Christ does not need a church, He does need an organization which holds His authority. That is a fact. But what I am speaking of Nephi talking about is also a fact. We are divided by wicked and righteous, not by organization.
Over the past few years I have learned the path which is lined by the rod and leads to the tree is truly the covenant path. It is the Lord’s members. It is the temple going people. It is His most faithful. The rod itself extends into the field. Representing that even the world has His word, but without His covenants they’re not on His path.
Knowing this has taught me much over the past several years. But I am writing this because I want you to know something interesting that we have learned just in the past few days. The whole vision is regarding Christ’s people. Those in the covenant path, and the world. But what is the most fascinating has been to find out the great and spacious is also His covenant people. That is why they mock us. That is why they point fingers. That is why they jeer and laugh. Because they believe they know, when in reality they have forgotten who and where He is. The reality is we represent the covenant people of Jerusalem. His chosen land. And once again, we have forgotten Him. We believe because we are covenant people that we are saved. No different than in the days of Christ’s coming. No different than the Sadducees and Pharisees who eventually killed Christ Himself. We think we are protected, when in all reality it is only our relationship with Him which protects us. Our covenants will be necessary in the building of our eternal tabernacle, our bodies, but making them does not protect us from the world. We only become worthy of the power of the covenant if we truly know Him.
It was interesting to hear my kids come home from church and have been told by their leaders that maybe their parents would now become anti. Mocking the church. Because of our choice to follow Christ and His will. Do you think my membership would have stayed active coming out against the prophet as I have? There are questions you are not asking yourself because you do not want to see the truth. My kids tale of this past Sunday reminded me of this scripture:
“And it was filled with people, both old and young, both male and female; and their manner of dress was exceedingly fine; and they were in the attitude of mocking and pointing their fingers towards those who had come at and were partaking of the fruit.” 1 Nephi 8:27
Right now is a time of success. A time of comfort. A time Christ has given us of peace to learn to know His voice. You believe it will always be this way if you pay your tithes and attend the temple. You mock us because you believe you are already protected because you follow those who say they are His leaders. And yet, Christ himself has told us you have not come to Him to find out if we are telling the truth. How interesting that “His” leaders not only do not know His voice, but do not seek it either. It is like the time of Moses when only he would climb the Mount. Or the time of Lehi, when His leaders had become so corrupt that the Lord allowed a wicked nation to overtake them. Or the time of Christ, when His leaders were the ones to kill Him. Should I go on? It’s almost like the scriptures are true. And not just for that time, but for ours as well.
How is it possible my children are teaching you the prophecies? How is it possible my children are teaching you the scriptures? How is it possible you are a leader in Christ’s Church? I will tell you how it is possible. It is possible because they stopped picking from every righteous man. They started picking only from the very small pool of the men who could financially serve without it being a stress to their purse. That is a problem. And we are seeing the fruits of that decision. You do not know Joseph is returning? How? Even we have spoken of his presence in our home. How do his leaders who have a flock not know all of Christ’s words? It seems to me Isaiah spoke of you. It wasn’t flattering.
President, I was going to tell you more about what the Lord has told us in making this decision and you know what He told me? He told me I could not. Not because it was so sacred that it can’t be repeated, but rather because your faith would not allow you to believe. That your faith is not strong enough to see that we are at the end of the 6,000 years and all prophecies are being fulfilled. That the reality of that, is not a belief you currently hold. While you may state these are the last days, you have no idea what that means. And that breaks my heart for those who are under your leadership. It is time to repent, men, and come to know His voice. You do so – ONLY through His scriptures. Even I, a broken sinner carrying burdens most don’t believe a reality – have picked up my scriptures to hear His voice every day for the past 30 years. Can you say the same?
Do you think a Zion society would allow their own to walk out and simply mock them? Point fingers at them? Not even go to the Lord for direction? We have been here 16 years. We have been faithful. We have shown our sins to the world, shouted them from the rooftops you could say, and we have repented and worked through the process of the atonement to become better people. We have done this in front of our leaders. In their view so there are no questions about where we stand. And yet not one person has sought from the Lord direction on how to not allow His most faithful to leave? We have not had one visit. Only mockery and accusations. Us – anti? No, men, we are walking to the Lord – not away from Him.
You believe you stand next to the tree, and sadly you have become those pointing fingers. It breaks my heart for you. Because I can see what is happening. I can see where the Lord is. I know His voice. I know Him. Like Nephi, my husband and I have been asked to do something we never thought of as a possibility. Something that has broken our heart. Something over which we have shed many tears. Something the pain of which will not be alleviated, I am sure, for some time. But we have done it because we know our God and He has asked us to. If that alone is truth, then what is it that is preventing you from knowing that truth? How is it possible that I, somebody who has been through the worst life could possibly offer, somebody who does not even hold a calling, who has never spoken in church, who has never held a leadership position, how is it possible that I can so clearly hear Him while you stand in your fancy buildings and point fingers and mock? Allowing children to become your teachers – because you literally do not know.
The reality is, on the board of life where Father is looking, it is covenant members on both the path to the tree and in the great and spacious. My dear friends, where do you stand? And if your belief is you are in good standing because of your positions, then I would point you to the Sadducees and the Pharisees and ask – would you also crucify Christ because He preached against your church?
There will come a day you will be forced to know the truth. I pray when that day comes you will remember my words and you will find your knees and speak to the God who is above you. The God who my husband and I serve fully and completely. The God who we will follow out of His church when it has become corrupt. The God whose voice you should know when you stand above His people. The church is not warm and cozy feelings. The church is meant to lead us to His voice. Through the Holy Ghost we find Him. And once we get to Him, there is no leaving. Like Jacob I can testify I have heard His voice from the heavens (Jacob 4) and cannot be shaken. Like Nephi I have been asked to pick up a sword and do the impossible (leave the church) And like Peter I will follow even if it eventually means my life. Because I know my God, and I love Him above all else. I wear the tree of life on my wedding ring finger as commanded by God the Father. My life is a testament of His plan. Of the importance of understanding the tree. Not only the atonement which allows us to partake of the tree, but the tree itself. Do you know what it is that produces such fruit?
I wish you well. But when the day comes when you are forced to make a choice between Christ and this world, I hope you choose Him. Please stop telling my children scriptures exist which absolutely do not. Even the first declaration, in the D&C, which I believe is what you are referring to, is only referring to those men called by God. Men that can hear His voice. Men that no longer hold only the Holy Ghost, but have received the second comforter as well. If you pay attention, you will know even our leaders have testified that is not them. The declaration does not apply to those currently leading. My husband has very publicly been posting all of the scriptures which refer to the time of life we are in. Start there if you have questions. Even I have a website where I testify of Him and His plan. The things the leaders in this church are not speaking of because they cannot hear His voice, they do not know them. The things the Lord wants the world to know but He cannot speak through wicked men. How symbolic that he once again chose are broken, and burdened, woman to proclaim that He is here.
Like Lehi, We are leaving God’s chosen people, to follow Him wherever He leads. That is what is happening here. And someday you will know, all we have spoken has been at His command. Even this.
Jennica Smith
